About Legacy Rail
The core skills and dedication of the Legacy Rail team have enabled us to tackle a vast and wide ranging portfolio of complex rail engineering projects over the last 3 decades. Whether your requirements are for engineering project management, technical document writing, through to logistics, component fitment, repair and testing, Legacy Rail have the experience to excel in any and all of these areas. A snapshot of some of the projects Legacy Rail have complete over the years are shown below.
- Class 465 half-life bearing change – Complete project management, engineering support and labour
- Class 465 solid state AWS and TPWS fitment – Complete project management working in conjunction with ROSCO.
- Class 465 Hitachi traction fitment – Technical partnership with ROSCO’s Brush Traction and Hitachi. Responsible for fitment to extremely tight deadlines.
- Class 395 (Javelin) delivery – Transportation of 29 units from Japan to Ashford depot, supporting subsequent testing and commissioning.
- Class 395 first and subsequent Overhauls – Responsible for authoring all technical documentation, overseeing OEM component overhaul, component exchange and testing. Development of weighing algorithm.
